Why did you join the Vanu Sovreignity?

I joined because of the best looking armor, but stayed because of the challange of being the underdogs for the longest time.

Ah... The good old days of the COMPLETELY Overpowered N00bhammer, or the Pounder you actually Ran from.

But from what I read - we aren't underdogs anymore, are we?

I originally Joined to smuggle weapons to my NC outfit and i shipped about 20 lancers and 40 lashers to loads of people.

Met some VS people who were interested in what i was doing and joined in...made friends. started spending more time on VS than NC. then i ended up going VS all the way

The NC seemed like violent yokels and the TR were fascists. no thanks.

I joined the vs cause I know laylos.. He brought me back to the game. I used to play as tr on Markov in the TRG outfit. My friends still run that outfit. I LOVE THE VS. I just got my 1 year term of service merit. I made this char then quit at br5 then met laylos and he got me back into it. So here I am today as OL of LIFE AFTER DEATH.VANU ! WHOORAH! I made a mistake and clicked the wrong empire button when i loaded up planetside for the first time... i was too lazy at the time to start over, and i got invited to some outfit called LD. so i kept coming back.

However the lag on emerald was too much for me to enjoy the big battles so i went to konreid... decided to go with the same empire because i liked driving the thresher... got picked up by Immortal Sovereigns ( who could say no to TheGreenLantern??? ) and remember the fun battles we intially had while constantly being underpopulated...

gezzz... I remember using the lancer as one of my main sniper/AI weapons.

I actually got TrappedUnderIce to join VS. I sent him a tell after he owned me once on his TR. We fought back and forth and I convinced him to come VS for a while. Ask him if he remembers me.

I like NC colors better, TBH. Now that I really think about it, they're (sort of) my kind of empire.

But, I thought Vanu we're cool and kickass with fancy stuff noone else would have. Our fancy future looking armor suits, our hovering vehicles, our purple energy guns..... :mrgreen:

As for why I stayed, well, cause I did. I like Vanu. The real question is 'Why leave?' :P

I think generally Vanu people are nicer, friendlier as im experiencing here. Being vanu has made this game so much more fun for me then when i was tr on markov... i gave up after a while on markov. Lost interest. GOTTA LOVE VANU.

I joined the VS in May of 2003 because I liked the weaponry. It had a more futuristic feel to it, and that's what I wanted at the time. I joined Celestial Fire. I left for a few months to spent hours of my life playing SWG when it first came out, and my law suit with SOE to get that time back is still pending.

I came back to PS in November of 2003 and joined TR because a few friends were still active. I made Dreaded and stayed TR until June of 2004. During that time, I had many conversations with old VS friends, and they finally won out. In July of 2004 I came back to VS and a few of my RL friends came with me.

I created DARK, and filled it with good people. We are not a loud attention seeking outfit so it's entirely possible you've never heard of DARK at all, but that's ok by them.

After the birth of my third child (another girl!) my gaming time was drastically cut, so CrusherMcGee leads DARK and things are going well.

If I come back to PS, I will come back as VS. It is simply the most fun empire to play for me. Not to mention, many MANY people in the VS Emerald team are fun to play with.

I joined VS (and have ALWAYS been VS) when my buddy told me to try this game called PlanetSide. He was addicted, and now I too am addicted. He told me he was on the Emerald server as the Vanu Sovereignty. I said, I guess I will try it out but I am not a big gamer.... DAMN HIM!!!

I hear ya though. Best thing I got from my ex are the kids (1 boy, 1 girl), and the money from selling my house cause she was too stupid to realize it was worth something when she turned BITCH mode on full throttle.
