Well, I don't intend on opening it up to the general PS public, but I'd be happy to host them for ya... :)

Ummm so noone knows?
I know quite a bit about it.
He ran out of bandwidth for the month. That means he has to stop downloads or pay horrible overage fees.
He has found a place to host where he gets a bit more bandwidth and I'm going to donate some bandwidth to him in case of more overages. However, he has some work to do in getting the new server setup and in making his system work in such a way that I can mirror things for him.
His site isn't dead...but its not going to be offering downloads at least until April begins, and maybe not then if he hasn't gotten the server up.
Keep in mind, the guy lost his job, so he doesn't have a lot of spare cash laying around to serve as your download site. If you really want the site back up, fork over some money. If any of you know of a company in Houston that needs a network/sysadmin/web developer let him know. The guy is obviously motivated and competent or he wouldn't have been able to manage the site. If I needed a network/sysadmin I'd hire him in a second. Any guy who can go home from work and do the same stuff for free is a good person to have on your team.

Isn't SOE hiring for jobs like that?
No, they're not.
Also, he is in Houston, TX, not on the east coast or west coast. I know he has a wife and kids and isn't too interested in moving.
I've also offered monthly bandwidth to the guy but I have not heard back from him. Rahl, if you have direct contact with him let him know that I am available to mirror as well.

I wish I had paypal... I'd help him out...
So.. noone has any ideas?
Anyone have experience with FilePlanet?

Okay, Downloads should be back online now. I've got them all moved over to a new server. However, there may be a few that didn't get copied. If you're having trouble downloading a movie let me know. Also, while I work on getting the new server finished, I am keeping the Uploads module offline. Once the server move is complete, the uploads module will be back. If all goes well, everything will be back to normal in a few days. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to get back to transfering data. Thanks!
Kazz, relax. He ain't dead and he's not going down soon. But it might be nice of people tossed a buck or two his way.
