Have any of you ever used Crazy Browser? That's what I use most of the time. I love it because its got a nice pop-up blocker and any new window is tabbed at the top. I like the tabbing of windows :D

Crazy Browser rocks, it's an IE shell that offers superior tabbing to FireFox, which is the only reason I use it over firefox, cause it comes with everything firefox has.

except, no matter how many shells you put on IE, it still doesnt follow standards or display PNG files correctly.

Except, you're vulnerable to many exploits. I'm not.
Even if my browser has a vulnerability, its not integrated with the OS, so there is less liklyhood of my surendering control of my machine by accident. IE's tight OS coupling means that an exploit can penetrate much deeper.

Makes you wonder if it's the browser or the user:P

I've never had a virus... I agree, use matters. But, there have been zero click exploits for IE. Lucky for the general public, the exploits were written by people who didn't understand the best way to spread it quickly... I suspect a horrific IE problem is right around the corner.

What I find more annoying is the fucking search bars and popup spawners that hug your IE and won't let go :(
Thank god for HiJackthis...
I've had to get rid of the same problem on 4 seperate computers while here on vacation..

FireFox isn't as secure as you may think, if everyone switched you might regret it because there'd be many more viruses and exploits occuring:)
However, I do agree that integrating it into windows was possibly the most retarded idea ever given their security track record. IE needs a rebuild badly for sure.

One of the reason I enjoy my Mac. No viruses, no browser scams, no annoying pop ups, or toolbar addons.
Pure and simple computing!

Mozilla/Firefox is already becoming a larger target. However, I have more faith that the developers maintaining Mozilla/Firefox are going to honestly give a shit about security and will act to address issues quickly.
I'm a software developer in the security industry and a realist. Eveything and everyone is vulnerable. Everything. The focus of the security concerned should be to limit exposure and segment things such that an exploit does as little damage as possible.
Using Mozilla/Firefix means that when my browser is exploited with a buffer overflow the only libraries that have their in memory copy damaged are browser related. If it was IE, system dlls that are memory resident could be corrupted.
In reality, either situation sucks, but the IE hack gives more power over my machine.
Plus, IE frequently doesn't render correctly.

Having said all that, the only reason I dont use firefox is because CrazyBrowser's popup blocker and tabbing system is better, really security isn't a concern for me cause I don't do the crazy things people do to goof up their machines.

IE is a security risk to ones computer which is why I stopped using it. I noticed a major decrease in adware/malware that would get on my computer. I suggest if you have to scan for adware and find many items, stop using IE for a bit and switch to another one for a while, to see the improvement.
