I will not play an RPG for the most part because A. they are predictable, you know what bad guys will be where. B. I hate not being able to kill shit. C. If i miss i want it to be because i suck and not because my char sucks.

While I wouldn't call myself a WoW addict, I will say I play alot. I just like the vibe there. Not as much hate.

Ah, you're just being a pansy. Grow a pair and boycott WoW. And then punch your asshole friends in the face. :P

I'm playing WoW so I can say I played it and discuss it with some actual relevance.
1) Kudos to the programmers. WoW is pretty tightly coded, not a resource hog and looks beautiful.
2) It has enough humor to be fun and serious at the same time (kind of like City of Heroes).
In the end, though, I've yet to play a MMORPG that isn't a reskinning of a previous MMO. Hell, their still the same damn thing as the old MUDs but with pretty graphics. In those old text based games I could still enchant, summon pets, train, etc. etc. etc. Just not enough excitment to keep me past the 30 day trial.

Have you done the "Studies in Spirit Speaking" quest?
There are a lot of references to movies, music, and other games in WoW.
Ultima Online, Zelda, Full Metal Jacket, Fight Club, Jimi Hendrix. You name it and theres a reference to it in WoW.
Oh well CodeZero, at least your character isn't a green skinned long haired sissy this time

Kazz don't play the hypocrite roll..
1. You left PS for WoW until you came to your senses..
2. You were steady Pshield user before you jumped on the antiPShield band wagon!
Forumside will do that to ya!

Forumside will do that to ya!I followed PRG into Wow, they are my buddies! Then I discovered it was a terrible game.
And about Pshield... I decided for myself it was ghey - then I asked TKJ if I could be in the Resistance! Yay!

It did get very boring, I played for about a month too.
My biggest complaint is PvP probably. I just hate the fact that a players skill has little to no impact on whether or not you can beat the people you attempt to fight.
Here I can be BR 3 CR0 and my opponent can be BR23 CR5, and I'll still kick his ass. That kinda level difference in WoW makes it nearly impossible to win...
