Over the next few days I'll be moving everything on this server to a newer, fancier, cheaper server.
Weird shit might happen... Be nice. Just post a polite note about it and I'll take a look in time.

Rahl! sup man? You should really stop by command rank5 ts sometime and give a shout. I don't believe I've noticed you at all lately for quite sometime.
Yeah, not really into games these days. Too much other stuff to do.

Hey Rahl,
Not sure if its just me, but at the top of the webpage the word "commandrank5" is inside of the vslogo and its a link. Along with a the words link1, link2, link3 and link4, underneath of the "commandrank5" logo.
You may not be seeing it though, maybe my browser is just messed up again.

Can't seem to connect to ts.commandrank5.com today. Are you working on that? or did the server just randomly die?
I played a few months ago. Its just not as fun as it used to be.
Yeah, the server TS is on seems hosed at the moment. Looks like a network problem I can't fix...have a trouble ticket in with the host now. They're usually pretty good. I don't think it will be back up today though... I bet I won't have time to get in there and mess with it till the morning.
Server is back up. ThePlanet put my server in the wrong vlan. Rookie cisco admin mistake.
Gonna go ahead and move TS to the new server since no one is on it. Expect weirdness for a day.
If you really want to connect use the www alias rather than the ts or ts2 or teamspeak aliases. So, change you connection properties and make the "Server Address:" box www.commandrank5.com rather than ts.commandrank5.com or whatever.

Not to go completely off topic here but Rahl, has and of your outfit mates informed you of the upcoming server merge? It may make the game worth playing again and I too am condsidering playing again.

Back on topic of the teamspeak server. Is there a hotkey to ban people? I've noticed lately that we are getting more and more of the player joined, player left spam hackers and it can become quite a pain to keep right clicking and selecting ban.
Saw the news about the server merge. Sorry, can't say that makes me want to play the game. Whats new? I spent three years playing. It was fun....I've moved on. If SOE wants my eyes, time and money they'll need to do more than reduce their own server cost by combining servers... Thats not innovation...its a happy compromise to justify keeping the servers on. I'm all in favor of it, but I don't think I need to start playing again.
Let me know when BFRs are gone, flying is fun, hit detection is done on the server and leadership matters.
BTW, if SOE wants to hire me to do these things...I'd love to hear a proposal and see a budget.

Its been a while. Havent played PS in a few years now...but still use the TS server. Just wanted to give a shout out and say thanks for your continued efforts, and for letting us use your server.

Still love ya man, (in a non brokeback, non gay way). I appreciate the teamspeak server as others have mentioned and I hope to chat with ya on ts sometime in the near future.

Yeah, I'm not sure I'd call it controlled flight... but the many trees I hit would argue that I moved through the air often and with great speed.
I'm pretty sure I've hit every tree in the game at least once. I've hit most walls. I've drowned planes in the ocean. I've flown off the map many times while napping. There should be craters all over each continent filled with smoking wreckage and my many corpses.
Not sure I've ever shot anyone down though. I was always more a fan of Reaver Rocket spamming noobs running from a tower while I flew around a dropship center. I'm thinking Sina on Searhus. Hah, easier than fish in a barrel.
Too much AA now. Apparently in the future any asshole on the street can carry in his fucking pocket an anti-aircraft weapon that can shoot down my plane in three seconds. And I'm apparently too fucking poor and stupid to put any sort of avoidance or jamming or flare system on my plane. Arg....every fucking time I think about that game I get angry.

I can't exactly say it was an SOE addition but there are many reports that states the DasAnFive kept everyone in good spirits and was an extremely fun and entertaining thing during their time of shenanigans :D

haha. I feel your pain man. I re-sub'd. The aa is there but countering it, makes it all the more enjoyable. Only saw one dual-coring cloaker in the span of 3 days. Not bad. Saw some old-school peeps like tyazl and galactichighlander on. Instead of the lasher spam at a interlink I now changed my game play into cloaker/potato gun spamming of doom. Already getting some delightful tells about it. You should come back for a month rahl and give it a shot. you can nade spam me like you did back in the day :D

Yeah, I ought to fire it up sometime soon. No idea when. In two weeks I'm going to Ireland for ten days with some friends. Vegas this weekend. May is a big month...not sure when I'd be gaming. Plus, Mario Kart for the Wii is out and I gotta go get that today.
